M72 is the AI content studio of Dirty Monkey Pictures. Film directors run our AI pipelines, and we make brand films, launch films and short series — from Beijing, for brands anywhere.
Everyone has the same models now. What a film looks like still comes down to who is directing it.
We come from a film company — the one behind Dying to Survive, No More Bets and China's 2026 Oscar entry — and we work in the market where AI video went mainstream first. That combination is the whole idea.

Thirty seconds to three minutes. Fully AI, hybrid, or live action — we pick the method the idea needs, and tell you which one it was. One film or a set for a keynote.
Episodic content for platforms, where the brand is part of the plot. Six-episode comedies, seven-part film spin-offs, anthology series with a cast of directors.
Human Future Rhapsody · Immortal Lease · No More Bets: New Leads

Director · animation and hybrid
Hand-drawn warmth in a cold future. Directed T-MAN & Truble, the corgi-and-robot film in Human Future Rhapsody, and the music video Stella, cutting live action, AI and 2D animation into one piece.

Director · photoreal and stop-motion
Two ends of the craft: A Slice of Eternity, a photoreal space-station thriller that turns out to be an AI's 139th simulation, and Balabu's Wish, a clay stop-motion fable for BMW about an alien who buys a car.

Director · live action
Feature director (Are You Lonesome Tonight?, Land of Broken Hearts) from the 72 Transformations program. For M72: Unknown Animal in the BMW AHEAD series, and executive producer on TCL's film with Zhu Zhu.

Director · AI shorts
Writer, director and AI lead on Homeward, a twelve-minute film that keeps one plush robot consistent through rain, mud and a city at rush hour.
Dirty Monkey Pictures is the Beijing company founded by director Ning Hao. Its films have taken more than 15 billion RMB at the box office and its 72 Transformations program has launched a generation of Chinese directors. Dirty Monkey makes features; M72 makes short-form and commercial work, AI-first, sharing its directors, crews and IP.
The name is short for Monkey 72 — the seventy-two transformations of the Monkey King. A creature that can become anything seemed like the right mascot for an AI studio.
We reply within one business day, in English or Chinese. A first call is usually enough to say whether the idea wants AI, cameras, or both — and what it would take.
